Dear Shining Hope Family,
It is such fun to see
Such fun to see
Satan lose
It is such fun to see
Such fun to see
Satan lose
Jesus is the Winner Man
The Winner Man
The Winner Man
Jesus is the Winner Man
The Winner Man all the time
This Gospel song goes on to detail how Satan was defeated when Jesus was born, was crucified, rose triumphantly from the dead, and ascended to Heaven. One verse ends with these powerful words:
Satan loses
Once more
When I was born again
Junior (in the green shirt) never misses leading this praise song at school! Here’s a story from him about how he has grown:
“This term, I was chosen to lead praise and worship at morning assembly every Wednesday. This wasn’t an easy task for me because I had a fear of facing large crowds. Now, I am more confident, and addressing many people no longer scares me.”

December 6th is the children’s last day of school! Words can’t express how grateful we are for God’s blessing and provision for their education this entire year.
To celebrate, here is one more story, this time from Drake!
“This was my last term in primary school, and it excited me right from the beginning! We had our Primary Leavers Party, which is my most unforgettable memory of finishing primary school.
“On the first exam of my Primary Leaving Exams, I got examination fever, but thankfully I overcame it and did the rest of the papers confidently. As I wait for the examination results, I continue to pray every day for the best outcome.”

Recently, Kalungi took two weeks off his busy work schedule to visit the elderly in the neighboring community and spend some time with them. He shares this touching reflection:
“This is something I do, and I feel like this is where I belong. While on this kind of service, I don’t get tired. Actually, at times I feel the day should stretch longer than normal. The endless hugs I receive make all this worth it and highlight how small acts can make someone feel valued. I want to resume visiting these people routinely because most of them have no one to talk to or take care of them.”

Remember brothers Clinton and Peter (below), whom we took in on a temporary basis back in September?

Back then, they were sad and worried about their mother’s health. But today, they are positive and happy, feeling loved and full of purpose. We ensure they are in contact with their mother and older sister, Jolyne, as they wait for their precious mama to get back on her feet.
This smile from neighbor Valeria is EXACTLY how you make us feel when you keep showing up in all seasons! We are truly humbled. Thank you so very much for your faithful sacrifice!

We leave you with this encouragement found in Romans 8:37:
“In all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.”
If you are a Believer, you are inextricably linked to Jesus Christ. And because of that, no matter what hardship or difficulty you may face, you are an overcomer—a winner—with Jesus. With the One Who loves you and gave His life for you.
I am on the winning side
The winning side
The winning side
I am on the winning side
The winning side all the time
With love and gratitude,
Kalungi + Rachel
